The Conflict Resolution Committee(CRC)of the Office of International Affairs PTI was formed on 10th Feb 2014 and comprised of the following members: 1. Muhammad Waqas Bashir - Australia 2. Mushtaq Ahmad – France 3. Fahad Javaid Siddiqui – Singapore 4. Suleiman Ali Khan – Finland The CRC has reached its conclusions on the conflict case of PTI Spain and the decisions and recommendations are produced herewith. Investigation and Reconciliation of PTI Spain Conflict The CRC investigated the conflict of PTI Spain rigorously and at length.The investigation and resolution measures were taken for a continuous period of 25 days starting 10th Feb 2014. The conflicting parties were given ample opportunity to produce their reservations, arguments and proofs. Detailed input were obtained from both the parties repeatedly in written and are made part of the record.Input from several paying members and concerned individuals were obtained several times. Discussions with the conflicting parties were held via telephone, email and skype. A large number of emails and messages were exchanged during the course of investigation and resolution.A skype conference of the CRC with the entire PTI Spain elected team was also held that lasted ~4 hours, in-order to reconcile between the elected members and remove the differences. Observations of CRC�on PTI Spain Conflict After weighing the merits of presented arguments and going through all the presented material by all the elected members of PTI Spain;and those by concerned members of PTI Spain; the OIC;and the discussions held with all of them via telephone, skype and all means involved; the CRC makes the following observations. 1) PTI Spain team could have better followed democratic practices and avoided personal confrontation and disputes not directly relevant to PTI. 2) The PTI Spain office bearers could show more professionalism in documenting the decisions and taking each other in trust on all issues of importance. 3) It is inappropriate for any elected member to indulge in covet operations, abusing and false allegations. 4) A need for clarification of International Chapters by-laws was identified for the OIA. The clarification should explicated the roles, responsibilities and authority of the elected membersof a chapter and must be communicated to the members contesting elections. Recommendations on the Roles/Responsibilities/Authorities have been given by the CRC to the OIC for further perusal. Decision of CRC on PTI Spain Conflict After through deliberations and keeping in view the highest spirits of democracy and noting that�the CRC decides that the following be implemented with immediate effect. 1) PTI Spain Chapter is dissolved and all paid members of PTI Spain are notified of this development. 2) Membership of PTI Spain is to be re-opened so that more people can participate in next elections. 3) Re-election to be held in PTI Spain as soon as possible. 4) Members of PTI Election Commission and/or Members of Independent Finance team will coordinate members of PTI Spain till elections.
