The Den was a really cool thing to watch. Although it was a bit strange, because while I can admit its a very good found footage film it didnt really scare or amuse me even if it kept me interested till the very end. I just wish it would have ended differently from what it did, because right at the end it stopped being found footage. The basic story is a young whatever she is has been given a grant to use a video chat forum called the Den to study social media and find out what kind of people are behind the webcams from a psychological standpoint. Unfortunately she stumble into a nightmare in the form of murders before a webcam that soon enters her real life as her friends begin to disappear. The premise was original enough (maybe not in its essence, but in its execution), the killers had a sense of divinity about them, as killers should have (whats terrifying about characters having a murderer in their home is that suddenly all control and power they have of their life is gone), the actors were very good and really nothing was done wrong in any sense. Which is a problem. There was nothing outstanding about it, nothing that I personally thought was an awesome part about watching it. Its a movie that should be enjoyed by everyone, but loved by very few I think.
