The FPS Performing Arts Department is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for all woodwind students, grades 5-12, in the Farmington Public Schools. If your son or daughter plays Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet or Alto/Tenor/Bari Saxophone they will want to be a part of this FPS showcase event! “Woodwind Whirlwind” will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Power Upper Elementary (PUE) and registration is taking place now. Please have your son or daughter see their school band director for the registration form. Students will participate in one of three grade level woodwind ensembles. The ensembles will rehearse in a like instrument sectional with a professional musician and the evening concludes with a Grand Finale concert where all participants perform at 8:00 p.m. in the PUE gym. The registration fee of $14 includes music, instruction and a souvenir T-shirt.
