The Faces you Feed – Meet Takoda & Theodore, who we are happy to say no longer have need of our help. Their family began in our monthly program November 2013, when they came in with no other options for dog food & on the verge of giving them up! Their normal, stable lives had changed in an instant & your donations kept them fed during a really difficult time in their lives! We were able to not only feed them, but neuter & build a much needed fence for them. In April of 2014 their Mom found a job, was able to wean off the program & even held a fundraiser for us to give back! We sadly received this note from Teresa, but are so thankful we could help when they needed us most so they could stay together! “All I want is just ONE more Christmas with this fur covered angel. The lymphoma it trying to win, but for now, Takoda is still eating and wagging his nub. He is getting around more & more slowly and cries in his sleep, but is still just so happy to be with his family. Prayers please for another Christmas and a quiet passing to the Rainbow Bridge for our beloved Takoda! (A big thank you to the Pet Food Pantry of Eastern NC for granting us the precious time weve had!” Please remember that EVERYBODY at one point or another needs a helping hand... and its so important that we help each other through times of crisis because you never know if the next one in need will be you!
