The Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue - TopicsExpress

The Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation based in Geneva, Switzerland. We work in cooperation with the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and United Nations Human Rights Council to promote and protect human rights through global dialogue. We are independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest, or religion. The Centre was founded on the belief that human rights dialogue across cultures, regions, and sectors is not yet optimal, and we aim to place human rights at the centre of governance throughout the world by promoting mutual understanding and cooperative relations across these boundaries. We function as a platform to bring together the United Nations, intergovernmental organisations, governments, academia, civil society and human rights defenders with national human rights institutions and the private sector, and we coordinate international conferences, provide human rights training, and advise governments and related agencies. We work on topics such as the Middle East, Armed Conflict, Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes, Discrimination, Displaced People and Migrants, Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights, Freedom of Expression, International Justice, Refugees, Torture and Ill-treatment, Trials and Legal Systems, Women, Type, Building Capacity, Directing Research, Enhancing Global Dialogue, Raising Awareness, among others. gchragd.org/
