The Ghana Football Association is running this countrys football - TopicsExpress

The Ghana Football Association is running this countrys football like a comedy show. What is this balderdash proposition of handing the Black Stars job to Maxwell Konadu on permanent basis? Not to look down on Maxwells credentials as a coach first of all, such a decision is just preposterous, beats common sense and imagination. Why will people who call themselves as Executive Committee Members and astute football administrators start to even think of such a suggestion. Goodness me! What is this situational comedy of errors after errors. So apparently there was a meeting held in Uganda by 13 members of the Exco, and after the Togo game in Tamale where the decision to leave Maxwell in charge was put forward? And some cohorts strongly supported this? Against theirn own words of finding a suitably competent coach to lead us to Afcon 2015. This people have kept shooting themselves in the foot and they seem not to feel the bullets wounds all this while. And I hear so some top guys at the GFA have pushed some players into putting forward a proposal that they want Maxwell Konadu instead of Avram Grant? My word, who do you think you are deceiving? Ghanaians?? Laughable. Is Mr Kwesi Nyantakyis FA crumbling under pressure and paying for their concatenation of indecisions? Why do you waste everybodys time, space and nations resources into receiving applications, shortlisting, inviting coaches for interview and subsequently announcing at a press conference that Avram Grant will be new coach of Ghana. And for over a month, we still cannot see an appointment officially announced. And this is an FA serious in draining the nation in a paradoxically- impossible bid of winning the Afcon. You have less than 50 days to play in a tournament youve spent over $50 million dollar trying to win in the last 6 editions and you still cannot make a decison of who your head coach for the tourney will be. So in the first place, why do you sack Kwesi Appiah when you have no succession plan in place. Why do you appoint Maxwell Konadu as a head coach against the same reasons for which you sacked Kwesi Appiah and caused this nation a huge financial loss and created a football vacuum? You went to the World Cup with Cameroon but see how FECAFOOT president Iya Mohammed has learnt from the failure by not shifting blames and keeping his technical bench as against your desperate decisions of always in blaming your head coaches for your failure. See how smooth the transition between Christian Gourcuff and Vahid Halihodzic was for Algeria by the professionalism of the Algeria FF. Look at even Cape Verde? Egypt have sacked Shawky Gharib, and have said theyll announce a new coach by Wednesday. Just look at how matured SAFA under Danny Jordaan restored calm at the technical bench by mutually relieving Gordon Igesund and replacing him with Shakes Mashaba. See the results of good transition under good administration. Can we refer to what we here as football administration? We have failed to learn, and we have always seen critics as enemies. Kwesi Nyantakyi must sit down and come to terms with the crisis that Ghana Football has become. Is Kwesi really happy with the turn of events. Today this, tomorrow this, what is really going on. If indeed you want to stamp discipline into the team because the players didnt respect the former manager as you publicly stated, why then must you push players into saying that they want this manager and not that. And if even that is fine with you, why would you allow players to decide for you what manager they want and who they dont want. Why then didnt you allow the players to conduct the interviews and make their eventual choice. People will sit unconcerned, leave this weak and indecisive FA to masturbate with our football and at the end of the day, they go out there waste the little resources left in our coffers all in the name of the football. Kwesi Appiah was sacked on 11th September 2014. How many days now? Over 70 days. You cannot appoint a coach. You come out to announce on a settled choice when you have not finalised agreements on his financial entitlements and the likes. Where on earth do they announce a coach when in fact they dont know how much hes willing to take and if indeed the employers are willing and able to pay? So what was the interview all about?. Keep killing our football and wasting resources. Keep fighting journalists who criticize your inefficiencies. Clearly things dont look good and some of us are not going to be cowed by needless court actions. The law was made for man,not man for the law. I will continue to clear my throat on some of these apparent haphazard management styles. I dont envy your seat, as I keep hammering everyday, I want to see you lead Ghana Football and even to CAF, but until you sit well. By the way, your league winners still have not received their price monies for two seasons. Your referees are on strike over unpaid allowances and you claim to pay over GH¢10,000 every year to spiritualists, Malams and pastors to pray for the Black Stars?? Ghana Soccer Fans deserve better!!
