The Global Garden is a service initiative started by three - TopicsExpress

The Global Garden is a service initiative started by three American Ismaili high-school students who, after their experiences volunteering at an orphanage in Kenya, through Global Encounters, have been inspired to give back through raising awareness and funds. They have been given permission to hold a booth at the upcoming North American Ismaili Games (NAIG) to be held in Chicago, from Aug. 28 - 31, 2014. The team plans on selling bracelets etc to raise funds which will then be sent back to the orphanage to improve their facilities, employ qualified teachers and purchase day to day necessities since the orphanage functions solely on donations. We would like to invite ICERV and IWG members to please come out and help make bracelets which will then be sold at NAIG. We will be meeting at Miami HQ Jamatkhana, after Jamati ceremonies tomorrow,Saturday, Aug. 23, to make these bracelets. Every person can make a difference! Thank you in advance for your support. Please watch the brief minute long video for more information on The Global Garden Project.
