The Humane Society Of the United States (HSUS) backed by PETA and other radical animal rights organizations are the ones backing opposition. This amendment was written by farmers for farmers. This isnt about foreign corporations. There are laws about that already. It protects family farmers from frivolous laws suits and from being regulated out of business. Its about if I want to buy cattle or raise chickens. Seriously, if the opposition gets a hold of this, grandmas kitchen garden will become regulated, uncle Joe will no longer be allowed to hot wire his sweet corn against raccoons and gasp forget growing your own seed producing flowers & plants or having a compost pile. Without this small change anyone can sue you, your neighbor, or a whole city if they dont like how you fertilize your garden, or the materials used in your chicken coop, or because weaning your calves is too noises. It isnt ABOUT BIG BUSINESS! Its about you and me.
