The Iran Project. Iran and its Neighbors. Regional Implications for US Policy of a Nuclear Agreement. The Obama Administration assume they can achieve a nuclear agreement with Iran having reduced nuclear capabilities. This report, sanctioned by President Obama and signed by heavyweights in US diplomacy, poses problematic ( read dangerous) conclusions; In dealing with ISIS it reads, A key question will be whether this must await a nuclear agreement. A failure in the nuclear talks could set back efforts to deal with ISIS. Another reason why Obama is foot-dragging in dealing with ISIS is on page 24; If ISIS were to continue to progress, Israel and Iran might find themselves with a common enemy. So, according to Obamas top team, lets slow down the degrading of ISIS. It may being Israel and Iran closer. Dangerous and false thinking! On page 25, the report reads, Israel opposes a nuclear proliferation (and the US doesnt?) in the region. A decision by Israel to attack Iran while the nuclear agreement is being implemented will be opposed by the US Administration. The implementation could take many years to complete as Iran reaches nuclear threshold capability. Further, Congress may try to pass legislation that will make it impossible for the Administration to implement any accord that is reached. So the Obama team see both Israel and Congress as impediments to their bad deal with Iran. Heavy, but vitally important, reading if you want to understand the Obama mindset. https://scribd/doc/239959345/Iran-and-Its-Neighbors-Regional-Implications-for-U-S-Policy-of-a-Nuclear-Agreement
