The Jacksonville canteen is preparing to depart Friday morning (May 2) to aid and assist those affected by the severe storms in the FL Panhandle. The canteen will travel to Pensacola to help feed and hydrate thousands of victims and emergency personnel. St Augustine Corps Officer, Major Ron Mott, left for Pensacola Wed. night, and will serve as Operations Chief of the mobile feeding units. Please keep the victims, volunteers, emergency personnel and SA staff in your prayers as they render aid to those in need. The statistics below present a snapshot of ongoing Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Service efforts in the affected communities. •11,856 Meals •14,179 Drinks •8,808 Snacks •22 Mobile Feeding Units (Canteens) •147 Persons Sheltered •Emotional & Spiritual Care to 439 individuals •128 comfort kits •870 hours of employee and volunteer service
