The K1 Racegear Thunder Series for Junior Quarter Midgets just keeps getting bigger with GW Racing coming on board this season to sponsor the quick time award and Autobarn Maryborough & Hervey Bay Sponsoring a best presented car award for each class. With a format change to make the event more fun and prepare the kids for their racing futures, this years series is sure to be even more action packed than last year. Nominations are now open for Round 1 at Maryborough Junior Quarter Midget Raceway on the 28th of September. Racing Format • Time Trials • 3 x Rounds of Heat Races • Final Round Trophies (Restricted, 120cc & 160cc Classes) • 1st, 2nd and 3rd • GW Racing Quick Time Award from Time Trials • Encouragement Award End of Series Trophies (Restricted, 120cc & 160cc Classes) • $100 K1 Racegear Voucher for 1st place in each class • Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each class • GW Racing Quick Time Award for each Class • K1 RaceGear Encourage Award for the Most Improved Driver for the Series in each class (Trophy and a $50 K1 Racegear Voucher) • Autobarn Best Presented Car award for each class. • All competitors who compete in every round of the series will receive a participation award.
