The March in March... First off, let me begin by saying i for one support the rights of individuals and groups to participate in protests, I may not agree with what they are protesting, EG; my turn out to the Hadagutful#2 rally in Freo, A counter rally that was organised to show ban live export supporters the face of the people they wish to see robbed of the opportunity to earn an honest living. But i still support their right to protest, Even if that is only a handful of people paying, and providing incentives, to others in order to garner support and make their cause appear to have more backing than it actually does. Secondly, I too have a right to be slightly annoyed, when people exercise their democratic right, to publicly demonstrate about something, that they know will dramatically affect the lives of others in a bad way. In their quest for greater exposure they have also been known to go too far, Vilifying people who dont adhere to their ideologies and outright defamation of the character of an individual who stands against their views, Or one in the way of them reaching their goals in the political arena. How quickly people forget that this is a double edged sword, one which to the majority of people that dont really care about the hyped up what not, sees them only serving to shoot themselves in the foot. Thirdly, This is an opinion piece, MINE, dont like it, feel free to share it around and see what others think. I have written this for a reason many just wont understand, In the full knowledge that my main point maybe missed amongst the others. here is a tip, if you missed it, Try asking for the unabridged version before going off on tangents.
