The Midday Records crew is out in full force this weekend. Eric and his crew were over at THE MET for Max Creek last night. I was able to swing by Halftime Sports Bar & Grille for Nate Jezaks show and hung with the boys from PALS. I also caught some of Phantom Orchestra, Ten Cents Short, and No Plateau sets before having to head to Providence. My phone was blowing up saying I was missing a great set by Senior Discount. I hate to leave shows early but I had to get to PVD. We all met up over at Aurora Providence for Top 5 Fiends show and caught Torn Shorts set and partied with the The Cant Nots. Also unexpectedly ran into some of Fete Musics crew. (This was my first time at Aurora and besides being there for the great music I also wanted to check out the room for possible Midday events. Im trying not to be bitter about being recharged for a drink I spilled leaning over to pay for a shot I was buying for James Luciano of The Sweet Release. Granted it was my bad but when buying a shot for a friend ultimately costs me 22 bucks it definitely leaves a bad taste. But I digress...) Today well be stopping by Dusk for Narragansett Beers event featuring our boys Jay Berndt (Music) and Gavage (No cover / 4:00 to 8:00) and having a drink with the one and only Mr. Conti of The Providence Phoenix to make up for his missing out on last nights events by over sleeping. Then were heading over to The Parlour for night 3 of JOhn Whites Lifes A Gas benefit for Trudeau Center Childrens Recreation featuring the mighty NEUTRINOS, Cactus Attack, guttersluts, M.O.T.O., and Maiden X Burlesque. Madonna said it best, Music makes the people come together.
