The National Weather Service has updated the Severe Weather - TopicsExpress

The National Weather Service has updated the Severe Weather Outlook for our area: THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE STORMS...MAINLY LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE MAIN THREAT AREA IS NOT CERTAIN...BUT IT APPEARS TO BE ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 90. THE MAIN THREATS ARE DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL. IF A FRONTAL BOUNDARY ACROSS SOUTHERN IOWA CAN PUSH NORTH INTO THE AREA... ISOLATED TORNADOES WOULD ALSO BE POSSIBLE. ANY THUNDERSTORM MAY ALSO PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS...WHICH COULD RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING. Please continue to monitor weather.gov for updates on the weather situation. We will continue to give updates as necessary.
