The Old School Playgrounds eight songs in six minutes demo The Old School Playground consists of three tall guys in the Atlanta area who perform our own close-harmony folk-rock arrangements of Top 40 hits from the Golden Age of Rock and Soul -- the late 1950s through the mid-1970s, says Peter, the ringleader (and at 64 the tallest of the group). We all sing -- both lead and harmony vocals, says Peter. I play 12-string guitar, John plays guitar and mandolin, and Tom plays harmonica and keeps the groove on percussion. We have many hours of material ranging -- Beatles, Bee Gees, Stylistics, one-hit wonders, even some Tom Jones hits -- and our performances are upbeat, engaging, and spontaneous. And good singers and instrumentalists who dig the oldies are always welcome to sit in.
