She filed a divorce with Russell and he refused it. Amber still works in her flower store with Eric beside her. Russell passes by at the store and every time he sees Amber happy with another man, it breaks his heart. Clarice on the other hand, still couldnt believe that the man she liked was the one Ambers fooling around with, and it kind a made her feel betrayed by Amber. Amber walks in the back and Clarice follows her, and there she asks Amber about her affairs with Eric. Amber, can I speak with you for a moment? Sure, let me just put this down. Replies Amber then walks towards Clarice. Im still in shock with whatevers happening, but why Eric? You know I like Eric. Im sorry Clarice. Sorry? Russell is a good man, but why did you do it, then? Why did you do with Eric? Im not happy with Russell, Im happy with Eric. So, what if youre no longer happy with Eric? Are you going to have an another affair with other men, even though someone elses likes them? Amber did not like the tone of Clarice and she ended up slapping her. Clarice gave her a look of disbelief for what she did and walks away, grabbing her purse towards the door and leaves the store. Before Amber could apologize for what she did. Amber ended up crying and Eric walks in the back see her crying. Amber? Are you crying? Why I cant be happy? Why does everyone think I committed a crime? Eric faces towards Amber and talks to her patiently. Amber, not everyone is going to be happy. I know what I did is wrong, but I took my chances just to be with you. They close the store around seven in the evening and went straight home. Amber had not spoken to Judy for many days now. She has not seen or heard from Russell either. Tomorrow is Valentines Day and she has no idea what to give to Eric. Its different with Russell, she always knew what to give to him. Each year before, she buys Russell something that he can use or wear to work. The one that he always used was the cufflinks and the watch that she gave him two years ago. This time with Eric, shes clueless to anything he likes. They cooked and shared dinner together. Eric wasnt feeling good so he went to bed ahead before Amber did. The next morning Amber woke up and noticed that Eric is not beside her. She looks around and calls for him, but no one answered. She got up and put on her robe to see if hes outside and to her surprise, there is a huge three dozens of roses by the front porch. She smiles and thought its from Eric. She calls the flower store and Eric picks up the phone. Hey, happy Valentines Day. Happy Valentines day to you too. Thank you for the flowers, they are so lovely. Flowers? Didnt you put the roses on the front porch? No, Im making yours. Can I call you back and check who is this from? Amber you know who could it came from? I still want to look at it. Eric felt jealous, but did not oppose to Amber. He knew that Amber is still much in love with Russell, because every time he tells her those three words, he never heard her said it back to him. Amber picks up the big vase with the roses on it and brought them inside. She looks for any card and did not find one. She felt sad in a way because knowing its from Russell, he would write down something for her. She went back to speak to Eric, but he all ready hang up the call. She gets ready and wear something suitable for the occasion that day for a lot people will be buying flowers. Clarice did not come back the next morning and it is only Eric, who helps her manage the store that day. Eric is getting tired obviously, his body is aching really bad, but he does not want Amber to know. This is a special day and he has a surprise for Amber later this evening. He excuses himself for awhile so that he can take some medicine for his pain and he made sure Amber did not follow him. While he was in the back the phone ring. They both pick it up at the same time, and Eric hears Russells voice on the other line. He kept quiet listening to what Amber has to say. Hi. Hi. Amber knew its Russell. Did you get the roses I sent to you? Its one of your favorite. I did thank you. I still love you Amber. Do you still love me? Amber did not say anything. Im giving you back the flower store after this week. Are you leaving? Please Amber dont. Im not taking it away from you and it is yours remember? You love your work. I cant, I have much rather important things to take care off. I wont be able to manage this store anymore? Russell wanted to ask her something and he knows it will be painful if she answered yes to it. Are you pregnant? I dont know yet. Russell just breathes deeply and closes his eyes with tears falling down. He shouldve told Amber his reason long before, then maybe she wouldve understood. If you need anything Amber, Im here. I dont need your help Russell. Im okay with Eric. Good bye. Before Russell can say anything more, Amber hangs up the phone. Eric stayed quiet and knows that Amber is still much in love with Russell. He pretended that he does not know anything and goes out to the front to help her with the costumers. He looks at Amber from time to time to study her face, and she looks lonely, but every time she looks at him, she smiles and as if nothing is bothering her. They closed the store at eight oclock and Eric is very tired, but still not showing it to Amber. He told Amber to freshen up because he has a surprise for her and afterwards he walks up to the kitchen to see the roses that was sent by Russell. There were only roses, but no card. Amber walks out of their bedroom and sees her wearing a nice red dress. Erics is amazed how beautiful Amber look. He is wearing a Navy blue long sleeve polo shirt tucked in with a khaki pants. He walks up to her and holds her hand. You look amazing. So do you. Come here and give me a kiss. They kiss softly, then heads out to the door outside the house. Its a cold night tonight for a Valentines day. They drove to a secluded area half hour away from their town. The lights were off and Amber had a hard time walking inside. She has no clue what kind of surprise Erics installed for her. As soon as Eric is sure Amber is safely sitting down on a chair. He turns on the light and Ambers eyes widens in surprise. There were glittering lights hanging around and red roses everywhere. Theres a table for two with a candle light. Russell lights up the candles and asks Amber to sit down by the table. They shared a lovely meal and drink some wine. Suddenly Amber thought of Russell, reminding how they shared their Valentines together. After they ate, Erics gets up and turns on the radio. He played a music Unchained Melody by Les Baxter. Amber started to laugh a little, blushing while Eric grabs her in his arms and dances to the music. Amber. Yes? What would you like to have, if you could have anything in this world? Amber looks at him and says...
