The President Jonathan administration seems desperately desperate to secure a re-election in 2015 by any means. Why is the President begging the National Assembly to allow him borrow $1 billion (N165 billion) to fight Boko Haram? Have they finished spending the $20 billion NNPC missing funds? What about the oil subsidy loot? Okay, what about the USD 700 million of Abacha loot the Swiss revealed in November 2013 that it released to the Nigerian Government? Also, recently, Liechtenstein returned USD 227 million of Abacha loot to the same Nigerian government. Just recently, the Americans promised to return USD 458 million of Abacha loot to the same characters. If you add up all these sums plus others disappearing in virtually every sector of the economy into pockets of government ordained thieves in the MDAs, will the funds not cater for all military equipment or hardware required and also fix hospitals, schools, roads etc? Is it that this government wants to import more mercenaries from around the world to silence every form of opposition to 2015 ambition? The time has come to force these bandits out of office to allow real fresh air into the country!
