The Quest For Butter Chapter One Pages mentioned in this chapter: Kurami Quick nod to Queen Nobody and King Nothing who I cant tag Me The suns light kissed every inch of the small village of Facebookia as the townspeople woke for the new day. Plows and axes were shined and sharpened. Ovens were cleaned and heated. Pitchforks stabbed away at hay. However, not everything was as simple as it seemed and thats where our story begins. An incredibly tall, dark, and goofy figure traipsed through town square, his hands filled with inks and paper. Behind him trailed a thick and curvy girl with a very bored expression on her face. His moss green tunic was stained with ink spots, while her burgundy one was fairly clean. His movements were quick and frantic, while she was calm and composed. I dont understand whats lit a fire under your ass, Dee. Bards come to town all the time and you never show any of them your work, she proclaimed. You dont get it, Peaches. One of the bards in town right now is THE Davis of Jimtown. If I can get his approval on my tales of Kurami, Ill be out of this town. Next stop, publication and nobility, here I come! She let out an annoyed groan, but followed anyways. They made their way to the towns tavern where the bards would recite their songs and stories. Dee filled his cup with ale, but the bar wench knew better to do the same for Peaches. Steamy black coffee filled her cup as she eased her muscles just watching it pour. Oh yeah, thats the stuff. She grabbed her cup and took a seat at the bar next to a soldier. His armor had the crest of the Court to Nowhere, meaning he was foreign. However, Peaches was not one to give a shit. She sat quietly and downed her cup while the bards went on and on with their tales of false glory. She rather enjoyed a quartet that went up and performed Hey Beowulf but quickly lost interest afterwards. She turned from the bar to watch as Dee took the stage. This was his time to shine and she knew it. Dee took a deep breath and closed his eyes, and so did she. Before she knew it, the soldier had snaked his hand in front of her face and clasped a rag to her mouth and nose. The tavern grew darker and her vision went blurry. She could feel her body being tugged out of the tavern, but after a while everything went quiet.
