The SVGCA would like to inform all affiliates, Clubs, and Teams that closing dates for registration for the 2015 cricket season closes on the 31st, January 2015. Additionally, the SVGCA would like to remind all affiliates of the meeting scheduled for 3rd January 2015 at the Girls Guides Headquarters Level Gardens at 9:30 a.m. This meeting will address the rules and playing conditions of the upcoming 2015 cricket season. Youth and Female Seminar The SVGCA Development Plan will kick off with a 2-day seminar from 2nd January 2015 to 3rd January 2015, at the Girls Guides Headquarters. Barbadian Sports Psychologist, Ms. Dawn-Marie Layne would be hosting the seminar. Ms. Layne is also a former national cricketer for Barbados. The seminar is geared towards strengthening the mental aspect of cricket. Day One: The first day of seminar will be for Under 15 and Under 19 cricketers. The morning session, from 9:30 a.m to 12 p.m will be for under 15 cricketers, while the afternoon session from 1 p.m to 3:30 p.m will facilitate the Under 19 males. All Under 15 cricketers and Under 19 cricketers are invited. Day Two: The second day of the seminar will be for the female cricketers. This session commences at 10 a.m, and finishes at 1 p.m. All female cricketers are invited.
