The Seventh Harbinger - The Cedar, or Erez Tree For those who just dont get the significance of this tree dying, heres a bit of help for you. The tree being spoken of in this thread, is the Erez tree, the 7th harbinger (warning), in the list further below. The following info about the nine harbingers (warnings) have been gathered from different sources listed at the end: First of all, there is a book/movie titled “The Harbinger”, which is meant as a wake-up call for Americans. Written by Rabbi Cahn, the pastor of the Jerusalem Center-Beth Israel Congregation in Wayne, New Jersey. The book centers on this verse from the Bible: Isaiah 9:10 KJV The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars. Cahn claims the statement the “bricks are fallen down” refers to an attitude of defiance, a desire to rebuild with stronger materials instead of acknowledging the hand of God and moving toward national repentance. In the book, Cahn explains the stunning connections between what happened with Israel back then and what is happening with America right now. For America, 9/11 relates to the bricks are fallen down. Here are the nine harbingers (warnings) that Cahn sees - using Isaiah 9:10 and how they apply to both 8th century BC Israel and 21st century America: The Breach: For Israel in the 8th century BC, God removed His hedge of protection from Israel, with Assyria’s invasion being the result. For America, God removed His hedge of protection, with the terrorist attacks on 9/11 being the result. The Terrorist: For Israel, the Assyrians were like modern day terrorists. For America, the terrorists of 9/11 were like 8th century BC Assyrian terrorists. Fallen Bricks: The clay bricks of Israel’s 8th century BC walls, were like the “bricks” that fell at the World Trade Center on 9/11. The Tower: For Israel, their leaders in the 8th century BC defied God by rebuilding the city without any evidence of repentance. For America, its leaders defied God by planning to rebuild the towers destroyed on 9/11. Gazit Stone: For Israel in the 8th century, they used quarried and dressed stones to rebuild, rather than clay bricks. For America, a 20-ton quarried Adirondack stone was meant to serve as the cornerstone of the new tower at Ground Zero. A ceremony took place over the rock in which New York Governor George Pataki pronounced: ”Today, we, the heirs of that revolutionary spirit of defiance, lay this cornerstone and unmistakably signal to the world the unwavering strength of this nation, and our resolve to fight for freedom.” Eventually, the stone was removed from Ground Zero. Sycamore: In Isaiah 9:10, the nation of Israel declares that its Fig-Mulberry (Sycamore) trees have been destroyed by the Assyrians during the attack but they would replace them with stronger Cedar trees, an act of defiance against God. After the collapse of the Towers during the 9/11 attacks, a shock wave damaged most buildings around the area. Only one building nearby was not harmed, the St. Pauls Chapel, seemingly protected by a lone Fig-Mulberry (Sycamore) tree, which was knocked down by the collapse of the Towers. Cahn points out that St. Pauls Chapel was also the place that the government of the United States prayed on the day of the first inauguration of George Washington on April 30, 1789. The Sycamore is known today as the 9/11 Sycamore and a memorial was built for it. Erez Tree: In Isaiah 9:10, Israel in the 8th century BC intended to replace the destroyed Sycamores with stronger Cedar trees, an act of defiance against God. Two years after the events of 9/11, on November 29, 2013, a Norway Spruce (an Evergreen, a Conifer) was planted in place of the original Sycamore, an act of defiance against God. This 21-foot tree (an Erez tree, same genus as the Cedar), was called the Tree of Hope. (see update further below). The Utterance: Or the “the vow” of defiance. Words of defiant pride and arrogance to rebuild, were uttered by Israel after Assyria’s invasion. For America, when its leaders repeated Isaiah 9:10 following the 9/11 attacks, they were doing so with defiant pride and arrogance, vowing to defy God’s judgment on America. U.S. Senator John Edwards is one of the leaders who made this defiant vow to rebuild, quoting Isaiah 9:10, during a 9/11 memorial on September 11, 2004. The Prophecy: For Israel, Isaiah 9:10 was a prophecy from God as to what would happen to Israel. For America, Isaiah 9:10 is likewise a pronouncement of judgment from God. One day after 9/11, America issued its official response to the terrorism attacks. Senator Tom Daschle, who was the Senate Majority Leader at the time and in charge of the official response, spoke before the Congress. At the end of his speech he quoted Isaiah 9:10, vowing to rebuild. -- UPDATE: In the spring of 2014, the tree planted in the place of the fallen sycamore of Ground Zero, the symbol of a rising America, withered, was uprooted, and entirely destroyed. The erez tree has fallen. The Tree of Hope, the symbol of America’s resurgence … is dead. “In the Bible,” said Rabbi Cahn, “the felling of the cedar, or the destruction of the erez tree, is a particularly stark sign given to a nation nearing the day of its judgment. It is one of several continuing manifestations of what appears in ‘The Harbinger’ – coming true after the book’s release. What these continuing signs signify is that America’s progression to judgment is continuing – if not accelerating. Combine this with the fact that America in indeed continuing on a rapidly accelerating course of apostasy from God and moral collapse – and it comprises an ominous warning: America is approaching a day of judgment.” “One of the signs given in the Bible of national judgment is that of a tree withering away,” Cahn explained, quoting Ezekiel 17:10, “Behold, being planted, shall it prosper? Shall it not utterly wither away.” Cahn says America is uncannily re-enacting ancient Israel’s behavior prior to its judgment and eventual fall. -- Sources: [link to en.wikipedia.org] [link to graceuniversity.edu] [link to wnd] .
