‘The Social Network’ Hurt Mark Zuckerberg’s Feelings Source: The Moviefone Blog:– David Fincher‘s 2010 movie “The Social Network” didn’t make protagonist and real-life Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg look too swell. From the onscreen Zuck’s problems with ladies to the messy breakdown of his friendship with Eduardo Saverin (Andrew Garfield), the movie wasn’t too kind in its portrayal of the FB founder, as played with unnerving intensity by Jesse Eisenberg. Zuckerberg was asked about the movie during a public Q&A, and according to Sky News in the UK, he divulged, “They just kind of made up a bunch of stuff that I found really hurtful. They made up this whole plot line about how I somehow decided to create Facebook to attract girls… The real story is a lot of hard work. If they were really making a movie [about the origins of Facebook] it would be of me sitting there coding for two hours straight.” Well, fair enough – that doesn’t sound nearly as exciting.
