The South Africa government plans to take a more assertive role when it comes to labour issues in the mining industry. Thats according to the countrys new mineral resource minister. The assertion comes on the backdrop of the crippling strike in South Africas platinum belt, so many will be closely watching the minister in the coming months. Much attentions been focused on President Jacob Zumas cabinet overall, and the direction it could take the country. But some key players are missing entirely.
