The State Cabinet approved a proposal for taking up recruitment to fill up 5,000 jobs in various departments apart from allocation of lands to KV sub-stations, leather parks and industrial parks on 20th September. Briefing Cabinet decisions, Minister Information and Public Relations D. K. Aruna said that the meeting of Council of Ministers decided to recruit 5,000 jobs in various departments including primary and technical education, electricity and finance. She said that the government would fill up six posts on regular basis and eleven posts on contract basis in Comprehensive Finance Management System. She said that Cabinet resolved to fill up 38 posts including five each legal officers and personal secretaries in State Information Commission. She said that the government would recruit 2,825 additional teachers in residential schools located in scheduled areas under Rajiv Vidya Mission. Likewise, about 24 posts would be filled up on regular basis in Tenth Pay Revision Commission office apart from ten posts on contract system. Referring to the other posts, she said that 392 posts in transport department including five deputy transport commissioners, 8 road transport officers, 50 motor vehicle inspectors 100 assistant motor vehicle inspectors and two assistant secretaries. The government would fill up 1,105 posts in APGenco, 43 posts each teaching and non-teaching in Vikram Simhapuri University, 47 posts in Anti-Corruption Bureau, 38 teaching and eight non-teaching in Kakatiya University College of Engineering, 44 posts in three ESI dispensaries- Balanagar in Mahaboobnagar, Miryalaguda in Nalgonda district and Martur in Prakasam district, 28 posts in A P Property Tax Board. The Cabinet has also sanctioned Post Graduate Centre and 31 posts to it apart filing up 18 teaching and nine non-teaching posts in Sathavahana University in Karimnagar. She said that the government has decided to open special women jails in the central jails of Warangal, Hyderabad and Rajahmundry and she added that sub-jails would set up at Mangalagiri, Ongole, Chittoor and Anantapur.
