The Take-off Spent three lovely days in the Purbarsthali - TopicsExpress

The Take-off Spent three lovely days in the Purbarsthali wetlands of Burdwan- which is an ox-bow lake formed by the Ganges in its lower course. The trip was awesome and the birding experience was rewarding. A long-cherished dream to visit this bird-heaven has been finally fulfilled. Only a few Tufted ducks have arrived in this marsh this winter, but photographing these shy waterfowls from the boat was really a challenge. I managed to get some shots after several attempts. Sharing a take-off shot of these migratory ducks taken from close range, just when they started to fly. Please view full screen. Tufted Ducks (Aythya fuligula) Location: Purbasthali wetlands.
