The Three Biggest Problems of Todays Church Its not false prophets, false doctrines, false teachers nor hypocrites. 1. Too many people think the Church is the Building. Both 1 Corinthians 3:16 and 6:19 say that WE are the temple of the Holy Ghost meaning that We were meant to be the Church. When you go into the Greek , the language that the New Testament was written in the message becomes way more direct than as we read it, in English. English is a very passive language needing adjectives and adverbs to clarify the thoughts of the nouns and verbs and on the other hand Greek which had seperate words for literally everything that was way more direct than English. For Example the word Ekklesia(or Ecclesia) which meant the Church Building itself. The thing is whenever Luke recorded both his Gospel and the book of Acts he used a completely different word to refer to The Church. That word was Homothumadon which was a word that meant a group of people gathered together with one mind and one accord that rushed along to accomplish one goal. It was actually a music term that could be best compared to a choir, everyone singing different parts of the Harmony but ultimately singing the same song! 2. The Church has became too passive. Jesus said the harvest is great but the laborers are few therefore pray the Lord sends out laborers. He didnt call us to simply pray for laborers but to in fact BE the laborers. When Jesus said ye are the light of the world, he also said to show your good deeds to all men so that they can glorify your father in heaven. Not like screaming, Hey look what I did but in secret doing enough good works that everyone sees. When everyone is trying to find a purpose, trying to find hope. We are the ones who should be spreading our Purpose our Hope our Salvation our Redeemer our Salvation our Gospel our God. I dont know about anyone else but I take it pretty personal whenever somebody I know says that all Christians arent what they appear to be. It Makes me think have I tried to do what Jesus asked me too have I shined some light into their World? 3. The ones that are doing the right thing except defeat way too quickly. You dont always make an Impact the first time you come into someone elses life. Odds are that most people who arent receptive were hurt by someone who claimed to be something they acted nothing like. Romans 8:29 says For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. So if you are doing your part to become the best example of Christ you can become no lie that You or the Devil could ever tell can overide Gods Promise that you will bear fruit! In Luke 19:13 the King didnt tell his followers to walk in defeat just because they werent like everyone else he said OCCUPY TIL I COME!
