The Unionists gloating over the oil price completely misses the point that (a) this was always seen as a bonus so, even if the oil price projections were wrong, its like winning the lottery at the same time as someone else. Not as nice, but still worth while. (b) SNPs projections were for 2016 onwards. The price today and 2015 would still be Westminsters problem, not Holyroods. (c) According to the article several North Sea firms are about to go bust. Isnt that what we needed the broad shoulders of Westminster for?
