The University of Maine at Fort Kent Alumni Association, in conjunction with the Fort Kent Senior Center Club will host its fifth Acadian Kitchen Party to be held this Friday, November 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fort Kent Senior Center, located at 20 Pine Street. Come join us for a night of Acadian music by local talents and delicious Beignets, a donut type dough cooked in maple syrup. Admission is $5 for the general public and children under 12 attend free. UMFK alumnus and musician, Don Levesque notes, “The crowds are getting larger and more enthusiastic every time. Moving the performance area to the side allowed for much more music. Ont a tous ltemps du fun (We always have fun.).” The Acadian Kitchen Party is a wonderful cultural event that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Be sure to experience it for yourself.
