The Upper Delaware BioBlitz is sponsoring a photo contest to showcase the beauty of the Delaware River Valley. Three nationally recognized photographers will judge all photos submitted on this page. They will select one photo overall for the grand prize, a Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 HS digital camera (or equivalent). In addition the judges will select winning photos in 5 categories: animals, plants, people, art, and landscape. The contest will close on May 1, 2014 to encourage photographs from all four season and the awards will be announced at the 2014 Upper Delaware BioBlitz. To enter, like this page and post your photo here on the Photos of Nature timeline. You may post as many photos as you like, as often as you like. Encourage your friends and family to like and post as well and share this page on your timeline! We suggest you supply a caption, date photo was taken, and place. The Upper Delaware BioBlitz will have the right to use any photos posted in the contest for future BioBlitz related activities such as press releases, the BioBlitz web site, print ads and outreach. We suggest you post a file that is no more than 1024 pixels wide or high and also retain a high resolution version in your files in case you are a winner. We may print the winning photos for you in which case we will need a high resolution file. JUDGES Roy Morsch – Roy is a commercial photographer who lives in Starlight, PA. Before moving here full time from New York City, he shot over 200 covers as a special features photographer for the NY Daily News, and has been published in NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, LIFE, TIME, NEWSWEEK, SPORTS AFIELD, and FIELD & STREAM, to mention just some of the publications worldwide. Sandy Long – Sandy is co-founder of Herron’s Eye Communications and is a photographer, writer, and graphic designer. David Soete – David is a life-long photographer and a recently retired Upper Delaware Council senior resource specialist.
