The Ways of the Milky Way The earth goes around the sun. This simple fact of heliocentric-ism was lost to so many centuries because such an idea was quite inconceivable for such a long time as it proved to be impossible to imagine outside the sphere that was earth. But these days, thanks to a number of technological advancement, we know for a fact that the earth does revolve around the sun, that the sun does go around the Galaxy Milky Way and that the entire Milky Way is but one of the billions of galaxies that constitute the universe. It is a concept, that while technically sound is just so hard to comprehend, so hard to visualize. That is where my fascination for the stars and the galaxies come from! Ever since I had my first glimpse of the Milky Way. And when I started seeing some amazing time-lapse videos, I was just blown away by how it made me feel about humanity as nothing but a tiny cog in the grand machine that was the Universe; the overwhelming scale of the galaxy and the stars was made quite palpable by the beautiful smooth motion of the galaxy shown in movies like Timescapes. And after processing this sequence (my very first attempt at navigating Adobe Premiere Pro as well), I am very reverent of the work folks put into the tool for creating any video! And now, I am very eager to go back to my previous works and edit them in Premiere Pro as well!. Shot over 3 locations (in sequence: Grand Teton National Park, Yosemite National Park and Kings Canyon National Park) with a 17-50mm lens wide open.
