"The business community is willing to open a R500-billion war chest to jump-start job creation and fashion a sustainable future for South Africa - but on condition that there are "no U-turns, no shocks and no unpleasant surprises", said Business Unity SA special policy adviser Raymond Parsons. ... "The private sector will invest if there is a climate of certainty," said Parsons. "We need a commitment as to how the plan will unfold, [a plan] into which business can safely invest, knowing its investment aligns with the national vision and will not subsequently be undermined."
