The date was March 1st , 2012. The venue was a Mackenzie College classroom where twelve startups and half a dozen mentors set out on a journey to see if together we could change the economic landscape of eastern Canada. The goal was to launch 36 new startups over a 36 month period. It’s been 31 months, 974 days to be exact, since then and there have been many ups and downs throughout our journey together but what seemed impossible in 2012 is now within our reach. We could not have gotten here without your support and commitment to the end state. On November the 13th at the Delta Fredericton we will not only meet our objective we will surpass it! As such we would like anyone who played a role in getting us here to join in celebrating this important milestone. The celebration kicks-off at 4:30pm with the Demo Day Showcase where upwards to 18 of our newest companies will be showcasing their products and be ready to tell you about their journey. There will be companies from every Atlantic Canadian province as well as international startups who have made Atlantic Canada their base of operations. You’ll be treated to appetizers and networking with our alumni, mentors, community partners and other members from the East Coast startup scene. Starting at 6pm, we invite our guests to join us at the main stage area where some of our latest batch of companies will treat you to six minute pitches. We will also use this opportunity to introduce you to our new CEO and make a major funding announcement related to one of our alumni companies. Afterwards (8pm), join us at the after-party hosted by Lebarge Weinstein. Space is limited so please register for Demo Day by visiting: https://propel2014falldemoday.eventbrite.ca I look forward to seeing you at Demo Day so we can share a pint and toast to a job well done!
