The deeper our faith, the more doubt we must endure; the deeper our hope, the more prone we are to despair; the deeper our love, the more pain its loss will bring; these are a few of the paradoxes we must hold as human beings. If we refuse to hold them in hopes of living without doubt, despair, and pain, we also find ourselves living without faith, hope, and love. #foodforthought ..the inauthenticity that we sense in others, or they in us -- constantly undermines our morale, our relationships, and our capacity for good work. One of the main strengths of this book is that Palmer shows us how often we stifle ours and others souls because we use our words and gestures to manipulate the situation in our favor. It is hard work to leave debate at the door and to ask open ended questions to allow their inner teacher to speak without us trying to fix or save them.
