The defeat of the incumbent BDP MP in Shashe West is a necessary step to ursher in a period of progressive thinking, innovation and development. It is a much needed thing to send a message to the whole of Bukalanga that the BDP is indeed a collosal failure atleast in our area. And needless to point out, the majority of elderly Bakalanga associated with the BDP have failed Bukalanga so much that each time I see Gobe Matenge, Phandu Skelemani, the late Nganunu, Pat Balopi, Jenamiso Batshu, Charles Tibone, I feel sorry for my beloved Bukalanga! Of late, Mmilili Molao has been shouting in parliament orchestrating further repression of anything to do with Bakalanga or Ikalanga. If we could only come to our senses as a people and remember who we are, what we stand for as a people, where we want to go and achieve, we could begin to see that to give the BDP another mandate in Shashe West is self defeat. Is it not a shame to find out that an educated young MP cant think beyond Ipelegeng, Constituency Football, Backyard gardening and some 20th century poverty relief programmes. Just a thought!
