The disgusting murder of French left-wing cartoonists will be used by the French imperialist ruling class to whip up racist and anti-immigrant sentiment. Ironically, these killings of left-wing journalists are a gift to the far-right in France and to the French imperialists. Our response must be to strike at both the French ruling class and their racist rhetoric, and to strike at right-wing Islamic extremism (who are likely responsible for these attacks). The only way to do that is through united struggle of the workers of France against capitalism and imperialism. This means fighting for unity of the working class and youth across all the divisions of religion, race and citizenship status, and rejecting all attempts of the elite to antagonize these artificial divisions.
