The double-headed eagle gold coin (Double Eagle) in denominations of $ 20 was released in America in 1933. Total U.S. Mint coins were minted 445,500 copies of this coin. In the midst of the Great Depression, President Roosevelt issued an order to buy out the population of all the gold coins Double Eagle, and to speed up the process, the price of a twenty per coin was set at 2.5 times its cost.
