The earthquake last October 15,2013 left the Loonanos numerous damages including our historical church that stood for 260 years, newly constructed public market, bridges, cultural center, part of the municipal hall, schools, chapels, clinics, hospitals and most of all the houses. According to the old ones, this is the first time in Bohol to meet this devastating earthquake, making the people homeless and in massive grief for there are 60 reported casualties in Loon alone and many of fellow Loonanons were injured. The earthquake shook our province in just less than a minute, but the damage it brought cannot be rebuild or repaired for a year or years. It’s hard to believe that our place has faced this kind of natural disaster. But what can we do for now is to accept the fact and stand up again… We are still grateful to our Almighty Father and Mother Mary for keeping our entire family safe especially my Papa who was slightly hit by the falling walls during the earthquake. Thanks God he can already carry himself after undergoing a major operation. I would take this opportunity also to thank my fellow teachers in MMCS and fellow Normalites especially to Ate Sue, Baron , Chona, Reza,Luna, Juvy, Miriam, Richel, Joy and their families and T. Joreline for giving my family foods, water, medicines, financial support and most of all for the PRAYERS in these trying times.. Special thanks also to Wheng Bacusmo and Yoraydyl Solatorio who sent also their financial support through Baron, also to Ambing and Dingdong who carried the relief all the way from Cebu though the road going to our Loon is not really that easy. Thanks also to Ate Helen through Nong Arvin and Te Denden , who sacrificed in travelling from Loay via Corella to bring us goods and water. Thanks also to Te Susan, through the DCV sisters for giving us foods all the way from Manila… Super thanks also to Bajoy superfriend in college…thanks for using your talent to help the victims of the Bohol… May God always grant your heart’s desire…. Thanks to all of you who helped me and my family in times of distress and hopelessness. Thank you for helping us lift ourselves to bring things back to normal. Despite the traumatic experience, life is still beautiful to live. I couldn’t forget that you are one of the reasons to continue living our second lives. Si Lord ray bahala ninyo for your generosity. DAGHAN,DAGHAN,DAGHAN SALAMAT KANINYONG TANAN…..MAY GOD BLESS US ALL….
