The hamster keeps scratching and running at his cage, trying to escape. I get the impression he wants to explore the world, finding his way to the stairs of the flat and then out on to the open road. Maybe he could hitch-hike his way out of the town, getting a job as an office apprentice before getting promoted to middle-management with a company car. Hes an ambitious little tyke, so I wouldnt be surprised if he wanted to progress further. I can imagine him running in local council elections, with animal rights as his main talking point in his manifesto. Hed fail in his first attempt, because hes a bloody hamster, but its obvious he doesnt give up easily, so hed get elected 2nd time round. Stunned at the fact that a small rodent has made it into public office, his public profile will go through the roof, appearing on the Jonathan Ross Show and maybe Question Time before being elected to parliament. After a few years, he becomes Environment Secretary, helping to stop global warming, before overwhelmingly being elected as party leader and then Prime Minister. Hed get married to Caroline Lucas of course. Hed then nuke the entire world in revenge for being kept in a hamster cage for the beginning of his life as he hates humans. Blame Abigail Black. The end of the world will be her fault.
