The heart remembers. My mom doesnt have this, but has a history of memory problems mostly from a gigantic meningioma brain tumor that was growing supposedly from way back when my little bro was just a tot or I suspect even longer. Over the years, I can recall the times it hurt my feelings that there were chunks of things from my past as well that she seemed oblivious to and lots of that I see as selfishness now. Almost like not getting credit for being there and caring and helping when life was yucky. Ive had some memory issues as well over the years and am just now waking up to the fact that I sacrificed something really special and important so that I wouldnt have to abandon my mom. Life is tricky. You have to go on what feels right in your heart above all.
