The human mind likes to believe once a bad experience is over, its done, and there is little or no chance it will happen again. Look outside, feel outside, and think for a moment. Was it this hot in the summer of 2011? Yes it was...and was there a big hurricane like storm in 2011? Yes there was. Was it this hot in the summer of 2012? Yes it was...and was there a big hurricane like storm in 2012? Yes there was. So now its really hot and much hotter than it was in the summers of 2011 and 2012. There will probably be a storm in 2013. Im not sure where it will strike whether it be Florida (greatest chance) or it might just rip through here again. Best to be prepared with gas cans, flashlights, a small PROPANE generator and all the stuff you wish you had in 2011 and 2012. There will be a storm at some point and it will happen past August. All of us who grew up here know...it wasnt this way growing up. It wasnt like this in the 80s or 90s and something has changed. Prepare now or find yourself in the dark with no gasoline later...
