Ok Jane Treacle MacDonald, you gave me the letter I so here goes, Ive got to be a complete anorak about this by the way, the first and obvious thing that came to my head was Iggy pop, but i thought Id try for a singer with a one word name, now Iggy pop covered a song called Wild One, But,........ I knew the version hes most likely have heard was the 50s version called Real Wild Child released by Buddy Holly and the Crickets drummer Jerry Allison, they had heard the actual original by Johnny O Keef when they had toured Australia in 1958, whats the connection you say? well, although Buddy Holly and the Crickets recorded it (Holly plays 3 guitar solos on the track!) and the Everly Brothers did the backing vocals on the track,....Jerry Allison released the song under the name Ivan because he and the rest of the band werent sure how it would be received by the public, so there you are! I was going to say Iggy Pop but ill now say Ivan
