The key for what I stand for is to represent the residents and ratepayers of Ellenbrook, Aveley and the wider City of Swan. It is really important to me that we see a responsible and considered approach to the ongoing development of our Ellenbrook and Aveley communities. I intend to give strong representation for all residents if elected. Projects such as the duplication of Gnangara Road and Lord Street are more important now that the major transport infrastructure projects, such as rail and rapid bus, have been further delayed. I intend to ensure that these are priorities for the City of Swan. Additionally I believe community facilities such as a major leisure centre, including pool, are pushed into the spotlight to better cater for the needs of this rapidly growing community. This is a key piece of infrastructure that is missing from our community and something many people have told me is important. Most of all I hope that I can represent the needs and interests of the community in a positive manner. Supporting local not for profit group and organisations in our community is also important to me. What I can do to assist in these areas I will, whether it be with a sporting group, Scouts or Guides or a local Senior group, to name but a few. Building a strong vibrant and well resourced community is the key. Ensuring the services and facilities are in place will definitely be a priority of mine. I hope that I can support local business so that they can better address the needs of everyone in our community. I hope that this starts to give you a better sense of what I stand for.
