The last DLSG post for the year , We Welcome to the legends former A grade coach and captain Wayne Berthon as a 5/8 the toughest guy I played with ,it wasnt all forwards playing tough in those days we had a group of hard men backs in an era where biffo was the normal they could dish it out with the best , playing along side the toughest backs in the game with Richard Harris , Changa digger Norris, and Brucey Ranse they had most forward packs covered for brutal defense , we also welcome from another era Will Weir an old fashioned hooker who never knew how to lose a game a real Cameron smith , we welcome one of my best mates Barry Jennings a top junior footballer for years he could have been anything but for a damage knee , we use to call him Eric Grothes twin , he loved the devils and was a club stalwart for many years always ready to help any team , we welcome bound max Max Thornhill to the legends the fittest guy to lace on a boot and a former coach and trainer for the A grade sides of the 90s , now this is my favorite last but not least legendary second rower front rower Pete Schumann joining for the second year all the way from Sweden , I love the Swedish card Pete with the Aussie dollars in it I cant read what it says mate Im not Swedish and a forward , we all know shoey as an inspirational forward whom I loved playing with and an inspiration to us all here on face book keep smiling Pete . In finishing the DLSG for the year and thanks to Pete and all the other members our total is now $3775 . Ill be asking for all members to send complete home addresses to be sent to my personal email address larrystephens1010@hotmail , please dont assume I know your address or post code , and please dont ask when you will receive your exclusive key ring they will come during the season very soon , Im having an op next week during my hiatus Ill arrange it all , ......last post and word on all this ...thanks very much all of you from my heart it is a great thing you do , and without a hesitation , as our motto says , do have what it takes to be a legend ...its spirit you all have it in abundance .
