After such a promising start to the day, Zacs kart was checked at scrutineering after warm-up and found to be fractionally too wide on the rear :( They gave Kevin the opportunity to readjust, which he did and Zac was able to start in the race. However, a kart in front of him span just off the line and Zac was unable to avoid it and there was a crash. As you can see, he didnt manage to finish the first lap and the kart was pulled off the track. Zac is OK, but sore in body and mind... and Kevin is so disappointed to have set up the kart without double checking the final dimensions... there is so much to think of and the scrutineering is so very rigorous. Very tough day indeed for both boys... lessons learnt and racing incidents... Today Kevin will be at the track repairing the kart and Zac will be helping and getting his head straight ready for the World Championship preliminary races at the end of this week.
