The long awaited 6 months between scans and appointment today requires a little more patience from me Im afraid. Update is: nodules on the lungs have grown in size and some new ones have made an appearance, but is concerning but rather unusual. Positive is they are still too small to biopsy and growing rather slowly, which is good, but on the other hand, question is what are they and why are they there? Oncologist has ordered me another PET scan (next Tuesday) and will wait to see what lies ahead from that. If scan is ok, will be referred to a lung specialist to see if he can biopsy/operate to see whats happening in there. If scan shows activity, then oncologist will talk about more treatment. She also said she has never seen secondary cancer go to the lungs from a rectal carcenoma so that is also a positive, but, the dormant thyroid nodule may or may not be a contributing factor. Helen Singleton: the on going cough is more than likely just a little blockage from a nodule. So for now, just a waiting game. Thanks for the texts today😄❤️
