The moon rose silently over the ocean and reflected its light in the long gully between the sandbars......It was the supermoon known as the Strawberry Moon rising slowly into the early night sky...turning from rose to yellow....and then to a luminous silver white......the waves zippered off the sandbars and the labradoodles played in the tidal pools around the rocks.....the bike ride through the silver night brought me to the beach in a circuitous route.....first riding through the moonlit streets of Mayberry by the sea....people on their porches......Chris and Adele and a circle of people playing tunes on guitars on the deck of High Thymes and The Café Medley......I stopped and caught their last numbers....then rode back on the beach for another look at the night...it was magical...silhouettes by the waterside.....moonlight dancing on the surface of the sea...shimmering like silver.....the lighthouse light sweeping the horizon for ships.......the harbor lights....the dunes washed with moonlight......people on the beach worshiping a sight of pure poetic majesty.....like a painting that moves in mysterious ways
