The new album ( Another World II ) will be called ~ Under a Thousand Stars ~ It will include some special guest artists that I have been very humbled and blessed to write new songs for . The songs vary in style and very soon we will give you a foretaste of the songs. I am posting the Lyrics and background of the Title Track as many people have been asking about the album. The final list of guest artists should be finalized in the next week or so and will be posted. Under a Thousand Stars For sometime I have been following the tragic events that have unfolded in the Middle East and recently I heard this beautiful story that haunted me for days and nights and thus inspired this song~ Under a Thousand Stars ~ It tells the true story of a Syrian village whose people flee to the ancient ruins of Kafer Rouma ~ an age -old historical city in northern Syria ~ to flee from the bombs and bullets and approaching militia. They begin to live amid the ancient ruins. On their first night of encampment, around midnight, a tiny baby is born ~ a little girl whom they call Fatima ~ reminiscent of another child born in another time and in another place ! In the midst of the cold night and fearful situation, the people try desperately to protect this little child. Her mother is too weak to feed her, so the women, using an ancient tradition, gather herbs and boil them to give nourishment to this new-born child. Despite the great suffering and terrible trials, hope is born in the tiny cry of an innocent child as the stars look down once again on a humanity that still yearns for peace...............
