The older I get, the more I realize that we are never mature. For one thing, that would imply that a goal has been reached, an acme achieved, after which there can be no more improvement. Instead, I realize that I grow more mature every day, but there is no threshold value to maturity. And really, I wouldnt want it any other way. Constant improvement; ever gaining in wisdom, discipline, diplomacy; always reaching for a new, higher, goal. I certainly hope that I can look back in ten years and realize how immature I was at 44. That would mean Im succeeding.
