The other day someone suggested that I avoid talking about - TopicsExpress

The other day someone suggested that I avoid talking about pediatric cancer because it probably traumatizes Andrew when hes reminded that he had leukemia. Really? If only it were really that easy to conveniently forget that Andrew had cancer. Not talking about it doesnt change the facts. The fact is that Andrew is a cancer SURVIVOR and he is not traumatized. Grateful, yes. Traumatized, definitely not. The fact is he and I both know we have been blessed with the love and support of many wonderful people and organizations who helped us through his cancer journey. The fact is we are aware of the need to talk about childhood cancer to honor the survivors and remember those who lost their battles to this horrible disease. The fact is we should all be talking about childhood cancer more to raise awareness of the need for funding to develop new treatments, refine current treatments to reduce toxicity, and improve cure rates. Please please please watch the video below and sign the petition at the end.
