The other morning as Geordan and I were riding down the street, I - TopicsExpress

The other morning as Geordan and I were riding down the street, I saw a little turtle trying to cross to the other side. I got excited as I do when I see any wildlife (from a distance that is) and turned around so G could see it. The poor turtle was almost hit several times causing him to withdraw into his little shell. When he realized the coast was clear he decided to head back in the direction from which he came because getting across that street was just too dangerous and could have costed him his life. This reminded me that we as humans often wander into unchartered territory that could pose unseen dangers. Instead of turning around, returning to that safe place, we continue to venture out and sometimes get hurt. If God blessed a turtle with enough instinct and awareness to sense danger and turn around, we as humans have to tap into what He has given us, His most valuable creation. So tap into your common sense, your spiritual discernment, your basic instinct, your natural awareness to avoid the hurts, dangers, misunderstandings, etc. that lie on the other side of the road. #extendedmetaphor #truestory
