The results are IN! Congratulations to all UES offices that participated in the spirit contest. All entries were fantastic and so creative! For those who may not have seen Marks email on Friday, below are the judging results: First Place – Ft Myers Branch Universalopoly game. Making the monopoly game into Universal, with the properties named after Universal projects, chance and community chest cards being Universal trivia, Sy and Mark’s pictures on the $500 and $100 bills and cylinder molds instead of houses. Most Uplifting – Jacksonville Branch ladies lifting the drill rig laden with cammo dressed employees. Best Use of Equipment in the Office – Pensacola Branch Rocket using a slump cone, trowel, 6x12 molds, 4x8 molds and a well point. Best Use of Construction Materials – Rockledge Branch using actual soil, concrete and limerock in their exhibit. Best Use of Company Values – Tampa Branch doing Whatever It Takes to suck up to the boss by doing a Tampa Bay Buccaneer themed entry with everyone dressed in a Buc Super Bowl shirt. Best Use of Local Flavor – Daytona Branch, showing the beach, all their projects, shark like competitors, waves, but we missed the Hooter’s girls from the 40th Spirit Contest. Most coordination – Orlando and Corporate Branch getting all those people involved to paint their faces, make 1964 t-shirts, making beer mugs out of cylinder molds, fantastic four costumes, cashola, 50 year logos, etc. Most nostalgic and best use of lighting– West Palm Beach Branch using everyone’s memories of 1964 along with excellent lighting. Best use of the Office Lobby – Atlanta Branch taking their picture with the company logo in the lobby. And finally……… Most Artistic – Sarasota Branch great use of project pictures, subsurface conditions, staff pictures and framing.
